History
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy (OLSHA) began a few years ago in the basement of the Chambers' family home.
A very small group of home-schooling families, desiring a quality education rooted in an orthodox Catholic philosophy, came together to discuss the feasibility of a more formalized school. After many long meetings and novenas to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, we opened our doors to eight eager students in the Fall of 1998. The 1999 - 2004 school year brought with it new students [total 60 students then] and an ever-decreasing classroom size!
We knew we needed to make some important changes in our structure if we wanted to extend this educational opportunity to other families who, for whatever reason, were not called to home-schooling.
We prayed that God would reveal through our unwavering devotion to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, the appropriate path in which to take. God's grace has enabled us to offer this educational opportunity and we pray that your children will be intellectually stimulated and spiritually nourished at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy.
